BACK!

How much do you hate my camera? Even more than me probably, when I post pics like this. We won't be getting a new one yet either as we're going to Center Parcs again in the cause of keeping small person happy :) Won't be getting the new sofa we're so desperate for either. Never mind, eh?

So, there's the three pieces of back just laid down together. I have 4 and a bit balls of black left, so that's ok. I thought I was getting through it a bit quickly but the sleeves have got big cuffs of a different colour so it should be fine.

This looks big to me, but I'm carrying on, because I'm like that. I cannot be bothered to worry about such things :P

Boring picture, but proof of knitting :)

I don't know that I should have done the size 36" as it finishes at 40", which might well be too loose for me. The 34" finishes at 37.5, which may well have been adequate, but we'll see. This isn't inspiring, I know, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

Carrie-Anne's stitch markers on the side :) I needed more for the Clapotis. The people at knitgroup were laughing because they thought I should be using bits of wool, lol. Philistines! :P

I've done some!

Well, I've done the Centre back, but the batteries in the camera have just gone kaput so I have put them on charge and will take a photo tomorrow when the light comes back again. I will say a little about it while I'm here to keep you going 'til it arrives :)

I'm surprised how 'loose' it knits. I don't remember knitting anything black before but it looks quite gappy and I wondered if it was just the light shining through, but there you go. I'm not going to change the needle size because I am patternbound and don't change anything, lol. No I don't swatch - not never. It's lovely and soft but does split if you aren't careful, very similar to the Sirdar Luxury Soft Cotton. It also seems quite long to me, but I'm too tired to see a measurement on the pattern to compare it to. To which to compare it, even :P

As this will take me until the Autumn to knit and I only have Clapotis and Wavy on the go now I decided it was time. I haven't got my i-cord maker yet but will have to remedy that. DC, that won't count as breaking my yarn-fast will it? Hmm? ;)

Errata

From Anna's blog:

Left front hem and Right front hem have incorrect final stitch counts. Correct stitch count is 40 (43: 46: 49: 52) sts.
In instructions for the collar, pattern reads: "Purl next row to make turning row. Purl 1 row. Purl next row." The correct version is: "Purl next row to make turning row. Purl 1 row. Knit next row."

Very quiet in here!

I heard a rumour that nanatoo had started. Got anything to show us?!

I've been thinking about getting one of these i-cord makers. I can see my Sgt P lying unfinished for some time while I knit all those lengths of it for the fasteners! They cost about a tenner, which isn't too bad, as I'm sure it would come in handy for other things. I've heard they're a bit rough on some natural fibres though (like Kureyon etc), so I hope Cathay would stand up to one.
