Very small Sgt P!
Here's my yarn! 
Thankfully there was also a note to say the rest of it will follow in five days, but I nearly had a funny turn when the postman waved this at me this morning!
Apart from the little tiny bits on the shade card, this is my first proper 'in person' sight of Cathay and I have to say it both looks and feels absolutely lovely! I'm really glad I didn't substitute for anything else now.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it :)

LOL yes that would make a pint-sized Sgt P for sure :-)
I'm guessing that the store doesn't keep much in the way of Cathay "in hand" and has to order it as and when, based on both our experiences. It's a bit naughty advertising it as all available then taking a long time to fulfil the order.
Very glad you like the yarn though, it's amazing stuff. I think it would be very difficult to sub for!
It's a start :) I'm glad you're pleased with it. I haven't knitted with Cathay before and I'm looking forward to it.
I'm suprisingly relaxed re the time the order is taking! Mainly because of the deal on the price but it also helps to still have another project on the go - and to know that others had to wait a while too.
Speaking of projects did either of you see the new Interweave Knits? There is a fabulous sleeveless wrap cardi with lace borders. Some other really nice stuff too. This magazine is very bad for my to-do list :-D However, Latifa will be finished this weekend by hook or by crook or by sheer madness :-) And it looks like I will have some Koigu left to do something with!
Yes, it's a good IK isn't it, I saw pics on the web. I have been so manic though with buying and planning - it's time for me to calm down. Good luck with Latifa, it'll be so nice when it's done. Ooh, if you cand think of something other than an amulet bag for leftover koigu, please let me know :)
